Data cache
Three requests to jsonplaceholder.typicode.com, cached three different ways. Prerendering pages and caching fetches are separate systems, and a platform can do the first well while doing nothing for the second.
Each reading is the age of the response, not how fast it arrived. Every server stamps a Date header on what it sends, and that header is stored alongside the body — so a cached read tells you the moment it was really fetched. The bottom panel is never cached, which makes it the control: it should always read zero.

Purging expires every cached fetch on this page by tag, the way a CMS webhook would after an edit. Both cached readings should drop back to zero. If they keep their age, the purge is not reaching the instance that answered you — the failure that leaves one server stale forever.
